For the second consecutive year, Rich Bouckaert won the Crescent City Fall Classic on an unusually humid morning in City Park. Bouckaert finished the 5 km race in 15:39, followed by fellow Power Miler Brandon Wingate in 15:47. On the women's side, Kat Telfeyan finished first in 18:25 ahead of Laura Aleman's 18:53. Telfeyan has quickly established herself as the top local after a string of recent victories.
The race also witnessed the debut of the new PMTC club uniforms, which were designed and supplied by our friends at Varsity Sports. The new threads undoubtedly inspired the Power Milers to place seven runners in the top ten. Keep an eye out for the black and white kits as the Power Milers travel to San Francisco next month to compete in the USATF National Club Cross Country Championships.
In the words of John Landy, "There is no gray - just black and white..."
