SLU defeated conference rival McNeese State, 41 to 43, along with a slew of in-state rivals including LSU and Tulane.
Running unattached, Felipe Pelaez finished 26th overall in 18:49 for 6 kilometers. 77 athletes from 10 universities contested the Highland Road Park men's course in Baton Rouge.
